Install Maps to Computer Not Working

I have a new Fenix 5x. Garmin Base Camp tells me that I have the option to install the map from the 5x to my computer to speed up map operations. Garmin Express (v. 5.3.0.0) isn't giving me that option, however (see screenshot). I have the latest firmware installed on the 5x, am using the latest version of Garmin Express, and I have tried deleting and re-adding the 5x in Garmin Express.

Help!

This doesn’t work on my eTrex Touch 35t ether.

It tells me that I count install the included maps on man Mac, but there is no option for that.

Whether that option exists depends on the map installed to your device and if an update exists for it. Which map do you have installed?

I have the maps that came stock on the Fenix 5X:

1. Coverage of the Pacific 4.30
2. Coverage of Europe, Middle East & Africa 4.80
3. Coverage of North and South America 5.20

Every time I launch Base Camp, it tells me that I have a "device that has a map that can be installed directly to your computer using Garmin Express" but the option doesn't appear in Garmin Express.

Huh. Strange, then, that Base Camp tells me I can.

I think it’s strange too. It would be great if I could install the map on my computer, so I don’t have to connect my device every time I want to use basecamp (with the map).

Same problem over here with my Edge 820! :(

Next I'll check my Zumo..... I'll let you know....

It's working with my zumo 345 (with Lifetime map). With my zumo I get the option to install the map on my computer!

I guess the pre-installed map on my Edge 820 is licensed only to the Edge-nav......

It also works with DriveAssist 51.

So it works with CityNavigation maps, but not with Topo-/bike maps?!
