70 hours to update? Really?

Just installed Express 5.3.0.0 and updated my old nuvi 760 just fine. But when I went to update maps on my zumo 660, Express says it will take more than 70 hours.

The nuvi update was only the lower 49, but it took maybe 30 minutes. The zumo is all of NA. I have a 30 mbps cable connection that I just tested at 24 mbps while still downloading the zumo maps.

I'm on an iMac running 10.12.3.

Is there a bug in 5.3.0.0 that causes a bogus time report?

PS: took about an hour.
  • The "time remaining" calculation can be highly inaccurate until there is less than an hour left, but even then it can still be quite inaccurate (either underestimating or overestimating time remaining for the install). It's not just the download time, the time to install over a slow USB 2 connection to a Garmin device with an older, slow processor can be hard to predict or calculate. I did an update last night to a 1350LMT and it initially said 3 hours, grew to 5 hours, then shrunk to about 2 hours, then slowly decreased to about 1 hour left and then suddenly finished. Overall took about 1-1/2 hours but the time remaining values were never very accurate.
