Not doing anything afer downloading latest software

I plugged in my nuvi 2557 to see if there were updates needed. It said there were, had me agree to terms and conditions. Then it downloaded the software and told me to disconnect the unit, wait 5 seconds (I made sure it was off for 30 seconds) then reconnect. It reconnected and now it is doing nothing. The software circle is green and has a checkmark on it. The Restart circle is a blue circle with no checkmark.

Any suggestions?

    Are you sure you were told to reconnect it, and not switch it on? After a software update you would normally switch it on, whereupon it will install the software onto your device.

    Step 2 of 4: Restart Your nuvi 2557
    To fihish the software update, you need to restart your device.
    1. Eject and unplug your device from the computer.
    2. After 5 seconds, plug your device back in to the computer
    3. Your device will power on and apply the software update.

    Hint: If the device does not power on after a few seconds, press the power button to turn it on manually.

    These are the steps it tells me to do.

    Pretty odd. I tried it your way and it says that the software was installed but the app on the computer never did anything. I am going to restart my computer and see what happens. Hopefully all is good already.

    After a computer restart it is now showing that everything is up to date. Thanks again for your suggestion.
