Garmin Express won't install on my iMac running OSX 10.9.5

Hi

When I try and installing Garmin Express on my iMac I get the following message

"Mac OS X® 10.6 (Snow Leopard) is an older OS X version that is no longer compatible with modern software. To use our software and desktop apps, you will need to upgrade your operating system to Mac OS X 10.7 (Lion) or newer."

My Mac is now fairly old, but has been running OSX 10.9.5 for at least a year so don't understand why I am getting this message.

If I go to this page http://software.garmin.com/en-US/express.html it suggests I down load a legacy version of Garmin Express. Is that the best thing to do.

I have an almost identical problem, but with a MacBookAir running OS X 10.9.5 so totally understand your frustration. My Mac fulfills all of Garmin's system requirements to install Garmin Express, yet it is impossible to do so. I only got my Edge 520 today, but unless this issue can be fixed I will be returning it! Not happy.
  • Generally Garmin supports only those versions of OS X/macOS that Apple supports. That's currently 10.10 - 10.12.
  • We do have legacy versions for OS X versions back to 10.7. If you are running any version older than 10.10, you will be offered the appropriate legacy version when visiting http://www.garmin.com/express.

  • Using legacy version of GE for Macbook 10.9.5

Hi guys - Jason is quite right. I've downloaded GE for pre MAC OS 10.10 and it works fine as far as it runs and downloads new map data. BUT - I have issues where European map data and country names (Change Country etc) are missing - all of Spain and France for instance - see my separate thread if you can help me - thanks!
