Garmin Express, Mac Sierra will not sync

I have a Garmin Forerunner 610. Been using an older Imac with El Capitan software and ANT agent, and everything was downloading fine. No problems.

Now have a new Imac, running Sierra, 10.12, Garmin Express 5.0, and will not sync. Garmin connect recognizes the ant agent is in place, also prompts me to download update software for the watch, but will not sync for the software download, nor will it transfer the workout data from the watch to connect. Have deleted the garmin express software, and reinstalled multiple times, with no sucess.

As a work around, I took my ANT agent, removed it from my new Imac, and plugged it back into my OLD Imac, and everything links up, syncs quickly, and downloads. No problems.

Really dont want to use this method forever (want to use the new computer).

Apparently I need some help, any suggestions

    Problems since using macOS Sierra

It would seem that since downloading macOS Sierra my Garmin Forerunner won't sync properly.... although my son's Garmin Forerunner will.
What I want to know is:
Is it the new macOS? Do you know this is a problem?
    Or
    Is it the linking device/cable?

I am able to get it to work by deleting the device every time and then reloading it... but this is going to get seriously annoying, if not already.

An answer would be great Garmin..
