Express will not run- Mac

Imac 10.11.6.
Latest download of Express. Connected to Router w/ CAT5e. WiFi not running. All other IP software works fine.

Chatted to Tech 11-20-16 AM.
Deleted LIBRARY/PREFERENCES/COM.GARMIN.RENU*
Deleted APPLICATION SUPPORT/GARMIN/EXPRESS
Deleted CACHES/COM.GARMIN.RENU*
Deleted EXPRESS
Empty TRASH
Reboot.
Reloaded EXPRESS


At best, Express comes up to the ADD DEVICE screen. Select device- goes to ERROR: -“ Cannot connect to the Garmin Express Service. Cannot connect to the Garmin Express Service”
Usually Express will not run.--ERROR now is =An unexpected error has occurred and Garmin Express must close. If you continue to experience this, contact Garmin customer support.

I have repeated steps numerous times. Same story.

Thoughts- is there a sequence that the GPS should not be connected till the Express is running?

    I'm having the same issue even after deleting and reinstalling Garmin Express. 2011 vintage iMac 21.5, Mac OS Sierra 10.12.2

    I have the same issue. Garmin Express does not run on OSX 10.12.2. 21.5" iMac. I have tried reinstalling and restarting but with no success.
  • I am sorry about the trouble with Garmin Express. Usually this error message indicates that an old version of Express was installed after installing a newer version. Make sure that you are installing the latest version from http://www.garmin.com/express. If you still experience this issue, please contact Support so that we can troubleshoot the error.

    It runs perfectly fine on iMac and MacBook pro with Sierra. More precisely, it doesn't work on your setup for some reason. Uninstall Garmin Express. Search through the Library folders (make sure you unhide) and remove all traces of Garmin Express files and preference panes. Follow instructions like those listed here - http://osxdaily.com/2014/07/31/manual-complete-app-removal-mac-os-x-terminal/ or use an app such as this one https://www.imobie.com/support/uninstall-apps-on-macos-sierra.htm

    Once that's done, download and install the latest version of Garmin Express.

    If it's still not working, temporarily turn off any firewall restrictions. If all else has failed, contact Garmin support.

    Garmin Express will not open today to sync my Forerunner 110. It was working two days ago. I reinstalled the application to no avail. I'm running on a Mac OS 10.8.5

    Help!
