For the last week, I have been unable to sync my Forerunner 10 with Garmin Express. I get this error "We're unable to add this device because our servers are unavailable at this time." I have uninstalled and reinstalled Garmin Express. My watch charges just fine when I plug it in and I can see it under My Computer and get to the files on my watch so I know it's connected. I've also cleaned the contact points with alcohol. I am at a loss for what to do next. Any help?
It's now been 2 months since Garmin Product Support told me "We are aware of the issue and are working to correct it." I still cannot get Garmin Express to run on my MacBook pro (OSX Sierra). Getting frustrated. :(
I would suggest the problem is with your setup. I have Garmin Express running on a MacBook Pro (Late 2013) with Sierra and have never had any issues. As suggested, you need to be talking directly with support.
I'm having this same problem (which suddenly started exactly 2 days ago, no change in software, hardware, ISP, computer etc). I've tried completely uninstalling express and communicator, and deleting all cache/preference files etc. Installed latest version etc. same error.
People here are saying to contact support, but there's no phone number or email address anywhere on the garmin site for support... only the support centre (which is a knowledge base saying to perform the above), and a way of logging device issues for warranty, which is not relevant for this software...
By following these steps on mac
- uninstall everything garmin
- Delete cache and preference and application support files relating to garmin (as per garmin knowledge base)
- REMOVE YOUR ANT+ STICK
- kill all garmin processes in activity monitor
- start garmin express
- re-plug in your ANT+ stick when requested.
Can't believe i finally got this working... i already had a Sunto Ambit3 in my wiggle shopping cart!
