R40 whiteriver to hoedsprit

I am not sure if I am on the right forum - Anyway here is my problem. My Nuvi's map set is up to date but when I follow a route that I created between Pretoria and Hoedspruit all is good up to Whiteriver then things go pear shaped. From Whiteriver on the R40 to Hoedspruit the route keeps telling me to turn around and I get a message that says "OFF ROAD" Why does this happen and how do I fix it ?
