How to check which Map is really used?

Hi,

I installed (parts of) the NTU 2017.2 via GarminMapinstaller onto my BMW Motorrad Navigator V, because the newest Mac Version of GarminExpress simply fails. It is listed in myMaps on the device menu, but GarminExpress still complains about an Update to be installed. Is there a way to check whether it is on the device in fact? And gets used? I.e. does somebody know a difference in central Europe between the two maps 2017.1 and 2017.2 ? Some new road or new POI? Nothing has changed in my home town...

Each map update will have changes but whether you'll spot them or not depends. I know the 2017.10 map added roads compared with the 2016.30 as a new interchange just opened near me was on the map. So far I've seen no changes in my area with 2017.20, simply because there haven't been any!

If only a part map is installed Express will tell you there is an update ... because there is one to the full map.
