Server Error

I have a new Edge 820 (firmware 3.10) that I'm trying to add to Garmin Express 4.1.27.0 on a Mac, and when I attempt it, I'm receiving an error: "Server Error We're having trouble communicating with our servers."
Is this really a Garmin server-side problem or is there something else wrong?
I can connect this device using Garmin Express on Windows so it appears to be a problem with the 820 and the Mac version of Express.
  • Have you tried logging in from a browser?

    Best thing to do is usually to wait a while and try again. If the problem repeats then there might be an issue elsewhere. Invariably though, the situation rights itself.
  • Another post on this... in addition to my 820 working fine in Windows, my other devices (Fenix 2, Edge 800) are connecting just fine through the Mac version of Express so this appears to be a problem specific to the Edge 820.

    Same here - very frustrating!

    Its brand new and basically useless at the moment until this is fixed!

    Any advice for new Garmin owners?

    I have disabled firewall, no luck..... reset device to factory and reinstalled express. Changed my Connect password and still getting the 'Trouble connecting to server'!

    If this isn't fixed very soon, this 820 is going back to the shop!

    Bug

    I think there is a bug.

    Always it worked for me correctly this software, and it is curious that now I have servers error ... and do not happen to me only.

    ... Version OSX server error.
    I virtualized Windows on the same machine ... and it works correctly. This is not a Proxy configuration error.

    As I said, my other devices connect fine, but the 820 does not. Given that other Edge 820 users are reporting the same, it seems to be a problem on Garmin's end.

    Do you have an Edge 820?
