Lost Forerunner

Is there a way to locate a lost/stolen Forerunner 235? I synced the watch to the Garmin app on my iPhone, so I'm assuming if anyone tries to sync the device then it can be tracked. I just got the watch a few months ago so I'm very disappointed to have lost it!
