Trouble downloading apps

I have a FR235, and I'm running software version 4.70. I've recently tried to download several applications through Connect IQ, although I keep getting this message: "This app requires an update of your Forerunner 235. Please use Garmin Express to update your Forerunner 235." All of my software, etc. states that it is up to date. Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong, or what I'm missing?

    What version of Garmin Express are you running? The current version is 4.1.23.0 and can be downloaded here.

    If you have not done so, try deleting your device from Garmin Express and adding it back:

    If the Connect IQ apps are not updating, which app is it? If you do not know as you have multiple apps in your Garmin Connect sync queue, delete them all and try updating/downloading them one at a time until you find the one/s that is/are failing. If it is a Garmin app (identified by the Garmin logo on the Connect IQ App website), contact Product Support by phone for further assistance. If it is manufactured by a third party, you will need to contact them for assistance.

    Same Problem

    I am experiencing the same problem and am receiving the same error message when trying to download certain apps via connect IQ. I have bought the device last week and have software version 3.3 currently installed. When I try to update the firmware via Garmin Express or WebUpdater, I am told that I am now "up to date" and that I have successfully installed software version 4.70. However, after ejected the device safely from my computer and checking the "About" section of the device, I am still told that I am working with software version 3.3, I am not asked to install any updates and when checking "Software Update" it still tells me to connect to Garmin Express. Hence it appears to me as if the software updated via Garmin Express and / or WebUpdater does not feed through to my Forerunner 235. Is there anything I can do about this? Has anyone else experienced this problem and / or found a solution?

    I am sorry about the trouble updating your firmware. I am assuming that you were able to get this installed since your Forerunner 235 now shows up to date. If you are still having trouble, you can try checking the device drive for errors. If this does not solve the problem, please contact Product Support by phone.
