My garmin edge 1000 is encrypted with bitlocker dont know how and it works with a windows pc but i use a Mac as my personal computer. how can i disbale it or get it to work on mac as it doesnt recognise the device on garmin express.
If you still have access to the Windows computer, you can turn off Bitlocker and decrypt the drive:
Connect the Edge to the Windows computer
Click Start (Windows 8+ right-click Start)
Click Control Panel
Click System and Security (Skip this step if you are not in Category view)
Click BitLocker Drive Encryption
Click Turn Off BitLockernext to your Edge
Click Decrypt Drive
You may be asked for your password during this process. If this doesn't work, you can format the drive but you will need to reinstall the maps and software using Garmin Express.
