Garmin 910XT wont synch

Using ant usb stick & garmin express with Garmin 910xt. garmin screen says "transferring data" but after few seconds, garmin express says synch failed and activites not downloaded to garmin connect. Watch goes back to main screen but then starts the "transferring data" again and keeps looping back to this.

I have done following:
reset computer
used ant usb stick in another port
deleted older activities from garmin 910

But still not synched.

I am sorry your 910XT is failing to sync. There could be a few reasons for this happening. Try the FAQ:
What can I try when my ANT Fitness device will not sync with Garmin Express?
If after this you still experience issues syncing you will need to contact Support for more extensive troubleshooting.

I have followed the FAQ but still not working. Also uninstalled Garmin Express and reinstalled. I am waiting reply from Garmin support since yesterday.

Have you tried restarting the watch?

No I havnt tried that. Will that erase all workout data ? What button combination should I use ?

Problem has occured since I did a reset by holding down power and reset button to switch off device after it froze while trying to transfer data.
