Cannot Connect Vivosmart HR to iMac via USB

On the afternoon of May 1st I started getting an error message “The disk you inserted was not readable by this computer” when attempting to connect my Viviosmart HR via USB. Up until that day, all had been good. I am using an iMac with OS X El Capitan version 10.11.4. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

I am sorry you get a message saying your Vivosmart HR is not readable. This type of message is caused by:
      • A problem with the connection to the computer,
      • Corrupt memory,
      • Malfunctioning hardware.

So, the first thing we need to check is the connection. Please try the following:
    • Clean the contacts on the device and cable using the FAQ, "">How do I clean the contacts for my rechargeable wrist-worn device?">How do I clean the contacts for my rechargeable wrist-worn device?"
    • Disconnect all other USB devices except the mouse and keyboard.
    • Connect the device directly to the Mac. do not go through any USB hubs or other devices.

There is a good chance the message is going to still pop up. If the message is still happening, please use the FAQ, "">Why do I see "The disk you inserted is not readable by this computer" on a Mac?">Why do I see "The disk you inserted is not readable by this computer" on a Mac?"

The device should now be detected correctly. Let us know if you have more trouble.
