Garmin won't sync some activities

My Garmin 910XT won't upload a couple of activities - yesterday and one workout from today. However it did upload another workout that I did today. Very frustrating, this is the second time the last month. The activity I can't upload from today was a race and I'd like to analyze my data.

Help!

First try removing all history from the Forerunner 910XT that has already been uploaded. Not the activities that you are trying to upload but the past history that is already in Garmin Connect. Then see if the new data will sync. We recommend only keeping about 30 days of data on the device as the memory is finite and when it starts to fill up, can corrupt data and/or cause syncing issues.

If the activities still do not upload, they could be corrupted. If the Forerunner 910XT is able to create a FIT file from the activity, it will be on the computer in the PendingSyncUploads folder. The folder location can be found in this FAQ: How do I remove FIT files that fail to sync in Garmin Express from my computer?

You can try to manually upload the files in this folder by renaming them using Get Info and adding the .fit extension. I recommend moving the PendingSyncUploads folder to the desktop for easier access for renaming and manual upload. The steps to manually upload the activity files are in the following FAQ. You would navigate to the PendingSyncUploads folder instead of a folder on a mass-storage device.

How do I manually upload data from USB Mass Storage devices to Garmin Connect?

If the file fails to upload, then it is corrupted and the data needs to be deleted from the Forerunner 910XT. The file may be able to be corrected, there are other places in the Garmin Forums for info on how to correct corrupted .fit files.
