Garmin Express Wont Open - Spinning Ball

Hi. For the last few days, I've been unable to open GE on my Mac. I can't fully uninstall as per the instructions, as when I hover over the black triangle, the spinning ball comes on. Any suggestions?

  • Restart, then try uninstalling again.

    The restart suggested will probably work. But if it restarts and has the same issue, we can force the service to quit. Please try the following:
    • Click on the "Go" menu at the top of the screen.
    • Select "Utilities".
    • Open the "Activity Monitor".
    • Double-click on the "Garmin Express Service".
    • Click on the "Quit" button at the bottom of the window to close the service. The black triangle will now disappear.
    • Open the "Applications".
    • Drag "Garmin Express" to the "Trash".
    • "Empty the Trash". You must do this step to actually remove the program.
    • Reinstall Garmin Express here.

  • Thanks for the tips. I'd already tried a restart, and it hadn't worked. Killing it through activity monitor eventually worked, and a reinstall.
