Garmin Express issue with Mac OSX

I used Garmin Express on my Window PC without issue, But on Mac the issue of "forever-syncing" was first noticed since OSX Yosemite and now El Capitan.
It always show my 920XT got an update, clicking on "install" , the syncing will take forever without doing anything, in fact, I left my device connected overnight, still showing "syncing". I ended up performing the necessary update via window PC.

I will like Garmin to solve this issue, to me Garmin Express works last during the days of OSX Maverick.

I am sorry that you are having trouble with Garmin Express. If Garmin Express is up to date, I would recommend doing a full uninstall of Garmin Express following the instructions here: How do I completely uninstall Garmin Express? When completing the uninstall, copy the folder ~/Library/Application Support/Garmin/Express/Logs to your desktop before deleting it in case you still have issues after reinstalling.

Once you have completed the uninstall, reinstall express from here: http://download.garmin.com/omt/express/B/GarminExpressInstaller.dmg
If you are still having trouble, it would be best to contact Product Support by phone.

Garmin S6 and El Capitan Dock/Detection Issue

Hello,

I'm just wondering why this thread was closed in re: the S6 not working on El Capitan? Sounds like it's still an unresolved issue that many folks are looking forward to a fix. :(

The OP is/was talking about having issues with the 920 and Express on El Capitan. The other thread alluded to is about the S6. Take the time to read the thread and you will see that GARMIN acknowledge issues with the S6 but also state that it is a firmware issue specific to the S6.

Problems with other devices are likely to be specific to that user...unless of course GARMIN has done something silly again. Perhaps the OP could tell us how he's getting along?

There are not many issues with 920XTs and El Capitan or any version of OS X in my experience. Some people do have problems, but my understanding is that they must be resolved because they don't often come back once they've followed the advice suggested. Advice that in many cases can be found by searching the forum first!

If you are having issues with an S6 and GARMIN Express, then perhaps you need to start a specific thread if the other one is closed.

The mounting issue with the Approach S6 and El Capitan was resolved back in October 2015 by a firmware update for the Approach. The instructions for resolving the issue and updating the firmware are on the last page in the thread.
