I inexplicably formatted my Nav V when I added an SD card and my MacBook can not detect the deice anymore. I do have a backup in Garmin Express so as soon as I get access to the device I should be OK. Does anyone know how to pre-boot the device. The usual Garmin procedures do not seem to work. Thanks
I am sorry to hear about the BMW Motorrad Navigator V. Unfortunately you will not be able to sufficiently recover the needed files through the Garmin Express Backup. The devices are never meant to be formatted in the field so the backup information would not include the preloaded data. The files that are preloaded are to large and numerous to send via internet so you will need to contact Product Support by phone and see about exchanging the device.
