My mac won't recognize my new Fenix 3

I had a Fenix 3 and Garmin Express didn't recognize it. We took it back to the store where we buyed it and they changed it for a new one, but we still have the same problem.

I've seen another user had the same problem but it in the post doesn't say how it was fixed.

I've tried these, but it doesn't work:
support.garmin.com/.../simpleCase.htm
support.garmin.com/.../simpleCase.htm

I have tried connecting to my mac and a PC and none of the computers are picking it up.
There is no desktop icon for 'Garmin' and it does not show on my computer either following all the instructions above.

Thanks

I am sorry that you are having trouble with your Fenix 3. I would start by ensuring that USB Mass Storage is chosen under Settings=>System=>USB Mode on the device.

If this does not solve the problem, try the steps in the FAQ Why is my Garmin mass storage device not communicating with Garmin Mac applications?

If you are still having trouble, I would recommend contacting Product Support by phone. You could also try posting in the forum that you linked and perhaps they will respond with what exactly fixed the problem for them.
