Duplicate entries

I am getting duplicate entries when I connect my Fenix and Edge 510 to the computer - I ONLY uses one or the other but on both every activity comes up on GC as both a ride and a run. I have Strava linking to this so getting double entries there as well ...

would appreciate some guidance

I'm sorry about the trouble. I don't see any duplicate activities for your Edge on your account but I do see them for your Fenix. The reason you are seeing duplicates on the Fenix is because you have the device set to save both GPX and FIT versions of your activities and both sync to Garmin Connect. In general, if you are syncing to Garmin Connect, you want FIT files. If you are using the device for hiking and want to see your data in BaseCamp, you want to save them as a GPX.

To set the track record type:

Press the Enter button
Select Setup
Select Tracks
Select Output
