My Edge 500 keeps dismounting from my Mac and then I get a message about "Disk Not Ejected Properly" Problem seems to occur when my Mac goes to sleep and then restarts. Advice please - Thank You!
The Edge relies on power from the USB port on the Mac to remain in mass storage mode. When a computer does to sleep the power to the USB ports is suspended and the Edge disconnects. I suggest you modify your Energy Saver settings so the computer doesn't go to sleep while the Edge is connected. I assume you have the Edge connected for that long to charge the battery. While it is a little unusual that the Mac says it wasn't ejected properly I don't think there is anything inherently wrong with the device.
