I have a forerunner 220 and I have a mac mini. I have been unable to load data via Garmin express for some time. I keep getting server communication error messages I have followed the the troubleshooting steps in the support pages including enabling auto proxy detection and updating the time and zone settings. I am using el capitain as OSX I tried deleting my device from express an readding it. Now it can't find it even though it is plugged in and mounted.

Any suugestions welcome but I have logged a product support issue.

Sorry to hear about the trouble syncing the Forerunner 220 with Garmin Express. Since the issue now is that Garmin Express is not detecting the Forerunner 220 even though your Mac does, have you tried the troubleshooting in our FAQ Why is my Garmin mass storage device not communicating with Garmin Mac applications?

If not, please do so. The first part of the FAQ can be skipped as the device is detected by the Mac. I recommend trying WebUpdater to see if it detects the device and, if one is available, update the system software.

If the device is not detected by either Garmin Express or WebUpdater, it would be best to contact Product Support by phone for further assistance.
