Incorrect version for Forerunner 225 in Mac Garmin Express

Hi,

I'm using Garmin Express version 4.1.11.0 with OS X 10.11.1.

Just connected my brand new Forerunner 225 and Garmin Express recognizes the software version as 2.60 so when I sync it does not push a software update.

Garmin Connect recognizes the software on my forerunner as 2.40.

Tried removing and re-adding the forerunner to Garmin Express but still the same issue.

Any thoughts?

I am sorry that you are having trouble with Garmin Express. Express will automatically send the 2.60 firmware to the device and update the displayed firmware version as soon as the device syncs. The device should complete the update when you disconnect it from the computer. If this is not occurring, I would recommend following the steps here:

If this does not solve the problem, please contact Product Support by phone.

The problem was solved and the watch was updated to 2.60.

Apparently Garmin Express considered the watch version as 2.60 even before it was installed, so I've kept trying to sync, thinking that it will update the version.. Only after disconnecting the watch, it installed the update.

That was a newbie issue.. :)
