910XT run being ignored by Garmin Express

Yesterday I competed in a trail race, however the data from that race, while present and fine on the watch, is being ignored for upload.
All previous events have successfully uploaded on my current hardware, software, iOS configuration.
I also did a test recording after the race, just 10 secs at home, and that uploaded fine too.

Garmin Express says everything is uploaded, but clearly the one i'm interested in isn't.

I tried brute force by enabling the "Transfer All" option to re-upload all events. Again the one i need is ignored.

What can I do to force this event upload?

    I am sorry for the troubles. Using the Transfer All menu on the watch is how one gets a valid activity file off a device if it failed to transfer initially. If you did not get a Sync error in Garmin Express and this failed, then it sounds like there is an issue with the activity itself. What you see on the device is more less a index or summary of the activity. If the memory on the 910XT gets low on memory then an activity can look ok on the watch but will not form correctly when syncing. It is also possible there is no memory issue but the device wrote invalid GPS data, corrupting the activity. It is very rare but it does happen. I suggest you clear all activities already uploaded to Connect from the watch, power it off/on then use the Transfer All menu to force another transfer. If there are still no errors in Garmin Express then the watch simply will not create the file and you'll need to delete it.

    There is a location on the computer where Express copies activity .FIT files before they are uploaded and another for after the Sync is successful. Check both of these locations for the file.

    Fixed!!

    Hi Curt,
    Thank you so much, I found the FIT file in the GarminConnect backup folder per your second link. Then I did a manual upload and all was well.
