As far as the issue with the Approach S5/S6, there is no update from the engineers on the situation. We will update this thread as soon as we have new information.

Hi Curt,

you can add vivioactive to the list of devices not recognized by Garmin Express on El Captain.

I moved this post as it is not the same issue as the Approach S5 and S6 issue on El Capitan.

I just successfully connected my vivoactive to El Capitan so if your Mac is not detecting the device, try the troubleshooting in this FAQ:
