Garmin Express will not upload my Ede 800 activities

Two months ago Garmin Express failed to upload from my 800 although my 110 works okay. I had to do a manual upload. Tried again today and the same problem but now I don't even have the option of manually uploading.

Tried this on a Windows 8.1 PC and Windows 7 PC. Browers tried include firefox IE and Chrome.

Any ideas?

Particularly displeased as I've juyst dropped over £1000 on Vector 2.

Typically when activities fail to upload, it is due to a corrupted activity on the device or a copy that was sent to the computer. Have you tried all the troubleshooting in our FAQ:

What should I do if I am unable to sync my mass storage fitness device using Garmin Express?
    http://support.garmin.com/support/searchSupport/simpleCase.htm?caseId={959e3d50-ffd5-11e4-78eb-000000000000}&kbName=garmin

At the bottom of the FAQ it does state to delete the activities from the device and the computer once the manual upload was performed. Was this done? If not, you may just need to clear out this data to have it working again.

When you say that the manual upload is not available to you, what is happening? Is the import link missing on the Activities page or are you getting an error? If there is an error, then the activity is corrupted on the device. All data that has already been uploaded to Connect should be removed from the device. Then try a test activity and see if it uploads as expected.

If the test activity fails to upload, contact Product Support by phone for further assistance.

    Hi Lisa,

I checked the storage on the 800 and there was still 25% left but I deleted all data from 2014 and earlier. Garmin Express would attempt to upload the data but failed. Note that this is not the case for my 110. I thought however that in deleting the older files I had unblocked something (such as a file number limit).

I then went to Connect and changed to classic view and went to the Upload page. I hit the (automatic) upload button and Classic view found 19 new activities which it managed to upload from my 800 without problem.

Hopefully Garmin has no plans to remove the classic view.

    Thanks.
