NuviCam LMT

I just purchased the Nuvicam LMT.

The main problem with this unit is it has a very poor battery life. So bringing it inside to try to adjust settings is nearly impossible before it goes flat.

When I plug it into the PC via Garmin Express the screen is no longer accessible. So while I plug it in to get power, I can't access the settings.

It would be nice is Garmin Express allowed me to change the devices settings via that and the PC (Especially for this unit with a way to small of a battery life).

OZ

According to our FAQ, it could take 8-12 hours to fully charge an automotive GPS device using the USB cable. It is possible that the nuviCam LMT you just purchased is still not fully charged.

How do I charge my automotive GPS device?

I recommend connecting the device using an AC adapter to change settings inside, if you have one. Otherwise, try changing settings while the device is connected to the vehicle charging cable in your car.

    USB Voltage

I actually never thought about plugging it into AC :-) Obviously each time I plugged it into the PC Garmin Express would boot up and I couldn't access it.

What is the power/output voltage required for the NuviCam LMT? E.G USB 2.1A or 1.0A

    Thanks,
    Glenn

P/S It would be nice if I could download/upload settings via Garmin Express :-)

Seriously, you could've just simply said 2.1 or 1.0. Wouldn't have hurt you!

Now you require me to chase that simple question up with someone else.
  • Not everyone from Garmin knows everything about every device. You raised a device specific issue in a forum dedicated to software, please respect that rather than make snide comments. Thank you.
