Nuvi 670 problems - may have deleted system file?

Hi. My Nuvi 670 with life time map updates refused to update through Garmin Express. I used MapUpdater instead but to make room for the larger map file deleted the old map image file. The update says it has installed fine but when I start the Nuvi and try to enter an address it says 'No data available'.
I have reinstalled firmware - reinstalled the maps several times - but still no change.
I wonder have I deleted some other system file by mistake as well?
Any suggestions?

Does the map show and is it selected under Settings, Map, MapInfo?

The nuvi 6xx series cannot handle a file whose size is > 2GB. Full City Navigator maps for both NA and Europe are larger than this. To get around the problem you will need to install a smaller region to internal storage of your 670, then install the remaining regions as a supplemental map to SD card making sure that each file is less than 2 GB. Because of file naming and size restrictions it may no longer be possible to install the current versions of both the full NA and full Europe maps to a 670.
