Garmin Express and nuvi 255w

Trying to update my maps on PC using Garmin Express under Windows 7. Latest version of Garmin Express downloaded on 8/25.

Problem is trying to add device - it doesn't find my GPS nuvi 255W model no matter what I try.

When I add device windows tries to install drives and successfully loads them but express never finds device. So I know windows is seeing the device added fine but not Garmin Express.

Any thoughts for me to try?

Seeing as I bought the lifetime maps upgrade last year I'd like to be able to perform an upgrade?
