maps update problems with nuvi 1490

hi, I need to update my nuvi 1490 and I remember last year I had problems

I don't have much space on the nav and also on the PC, how should I do the update?

I have the external SD and is empty but it appears the update program does not see it

as you advise me to do?

Which update program are you using? Express requires up to 13Gb on your computer so if you have less than that it may not work.

you, i use express, there are alternatives?
13 GB space, must be on the main hard drive ?
and for what concerns the space on the navigator ?

about space in the pc is not a real problem because i have also a netbook with enought space

the real problem is the space on nav

Are you using Express? What happens when you try to update?

If there isn't enough space Express should prompt for a SD card. Don't install the card until prompted by Express.

i have a different problem now, i install express on netbook but when I go to add the nav
i have the registration screen, than i insert the email adress but there is no button to move forward in the process

i put the screen about it

Have you tried bypassing registering? It's not necessary to do so.

How can I bypass the registration?
when I click add device, confirm the nav found, I am automatically in that screen

pressing tab and enter random and for many times, I was able to move forward in the process

i think is not normal like this but for it i'm ok now

later i try to update the maps

if i have problem i must re open a post in other section ?
