Express failing to sync half way through upload - Windows 10

Since I've change to Windows 10, Garmin Express fails each and every time saying "there was an error syncing with Garmin Connect". I've turned off the firewall (via McAfee) thinking that might the issue but same result. I've looked all over this forum, but fail to see an answer. Any thoughts? I've reinstalled Garmin Express, cleared out old files from the GPS (Edge 305), out of ideas.

I am sorry for the troubles. Please make sure Garmin Express is up to date at 4.1.5. Do you have two Edge 305s? Both your account and Express are representing that you have two. If you only have one then delete the old from Garmin Express and Connect.

How do I update Garmin Express?

How do I delete a fitness device from Garmin Express?

There is also a chance that the upload to Connect reject an activity and it remains on the computer interrupting the sync process. Use the instructions to remove these files.

    • Press the Windows key + R
    • Type %ProgramData% in the box
    • Click OK
    • Open the Garmin folder
    • Open the CoreService folder
    • Open the Devices folder
    • Open the folder with the 10 digit Unit ID for your device (this can be found on the About screen on the device if there are multiple folders present)
    • Right-click the Sync folder
    • Click Delete

If you continue to have trouble I suggest you contact Garmin Product Support by phone.
