Are there issues with Garmin Express Version 4.1.5.0?

Ever since Garmin Express updated to Version 4.1.5.0 my Edge 800 will not upload new activities automatically. Express first says that there was a problem synching with a big red box and then says that a synch was conducted but the only thing it's checking for is current firmware/software, not uploading.

I can go and manually upload activities by dragging them in the "manual upload" box but that kind of defeats the purpose of a "synchronization".

I am using Windows 7 Home Premium and DID NOT have any synch issues before Express Version 4.1.5.0.

Does anyone know what can be done?

I am sorry for the troubles. Please use the suggestions in the FAQ article: What should I do if I am unable to sync my mass storage fitness device using Garmin Express? Once the computer and device are clear of possible corrupt data, login to your Connect account and delete all the items from the Sync menu on the left. Once you have successfully synced the Edge you can try to send items to the device.

Again I am sorry for the troubles.

    Similar issue with 910XT

I've also been having problems since upgrading to 4.1.5.0 (Windows 7). I never had any trouble before, but after upgrading, I've seen two different behaviors:
    1) When I bring the device within range of the ANT+ stick, it begins to sync, but then turns off. I've found threads indicating this is a very common problem.
When I turn it back on, I get
    2) Garmin Express indicates it is syncing, and for a little while, I see the Transferring Data bar on the watch. Then the watch appears to complete, goes to the 0:00 home screen, BUT the Garmin Express sync bar continues to roll on. The data is still on the watch, but never gets transferred. I cannot see the new activities in Garmin Connect. As far as I can tell, the sync will go indefinitely.

Unlike the original poster, I cannot bulk upload manually. The device does not appear in My Computer when plugged into USB; it just starts to charge.

I have tried to enter 'Upload All Activities' from the watch. The behavior persists, the Transferring Data screen on the watch just lasts longer.

I've tried uninstalling (keep data) and reinstalling. No change in behavior.
I've tried uninstalling (remove all data) and installing an older version from a previously downloaded installer. As soon as it launched, it "helpfully" downloaded a required update and I was right back to where I started, only now I have to configure my device as well.

Now I'm getting a very similar issue, where the watch has completed, gone back to 0:00, but the Garmin Express still shows "Please wait while we finish setting up your device."

I am sorry for the troubles. As far as the device shutting off while syncing Garmin Product Support should be contacted. That is more of a device issue. In regards to syncing please see the FAQ: What can I try when my ANT Fitness device will not sync with Garmin Express?

Yes, I already checked the FAQs

Obviously the device is within communication range and the ANT stick is connected to the computer. As I stated before, the sync begins and both the watch and Garmin Express agree that something is happening.

Memory on the device is not low. In fact, I recently deleted all old activities (older than one month, per the default for my device)

The title of the thread says that Garmin Express is on the latest version. In fact, it's on the latest version despite my best efforts...see previous post.

The Sync folder in ProgramData contained two empty subfolders. I deleted the folder as instructed here
    support.garmin.com/.../case.faces
    and tried again.

Same behavior as before (and the two empty subfolders were recreated: FIT_TYPE_4 and FIT_TYPE_9)

To reiterate, the behavior is the sync begins and 'Transferring Data' displays on the watch. Then the transfer appears to complete and the watch returns to 0:00. However, Garmin Express' progress bar continues to show 'Syncing' and no data is sent to Garmin Connect.

I am sorry that you are still having trouble syncing. If the FAQ steps do not solve the problem, I would recommend contacting Product Support by phone to troubleshoot the problem.

    Can't get by Profile

I also have a problem with the new update. It installs fine and recognizes my device with the ant. I get as far as profile after it finds device and I login, but there is no button that allows me to confirm the information and finish so it just hangs. Using Win 7.

It sounds like you may be running into a resolution issue. Try our FAQ:

Why doesn't Garmin Express fit on the screen?

    Garmin Express Download

    Hi
I downloaded Garmin Express, but after many unsuccessful attempts to get my device to sync, I tried to remove the files from Control Panel - Program and Features (to reinstall to see if I could correct whatever the problem was) - whilst doing this it made my computer crash.
Once I restarted my computer, there were no Garmin files in the programs and features, but now when I have tried to reinstall the Express it goes through the process, then says that it is already installed, but will not allow me to access Express.
