Garmin Express Not starting in Windows 10

Hi, Since upgrading to Windows 10 last week Garmin Express no longer starts. Does anyone have any idea what I could try?
I've deinstalled the product and re-installed with no errors.
When I double click on the icon to run though nothing ever happens
The Garmin Express icon appears in the list of 'Show hidden icons' in the bottom right corner, so something is happening. But again right clicking on that an selecting 'Launch Application' nothing happens.

Any help would be appreciated!

I am sorry for the troubles. If you can add your 620 to Garmin Express on Windows 10 then the sync issues are related to data on the device rather than Garmin Express on Windows 10. I will not recommend you delete or master reset the 620 on the forums and can only encourage you to contact Garmin Product Support by phone so your situation can be investigated.

I solved it, it was my own fault. I copied the "GARMIN" Folder to my hard drive as a backup because of the update troubles of the past days, now I was being lazy and just dumped it in the main dir. Apparently Garmin Express simply checks drives for a GARMIN folder and then performs all actions on that. So for the whole day I updated the GARMIN folder on my HDD while nothing changed on my Garmin device...Sorry about the confusion, I doubt anyone is as lazy and stupid as me but I wanted to keep this problem/solution posted anyway

I'm having some trouble withy my Garmin Edge 20 and Garmin Express on Windows 10.

Everything is up to date (2.70 on my Garmin, Express as well) and I tried reinstalling already.

My problem is: When I disconnect my Edge (safe eject with Windows or whatever it is called) Garmin Express still sees it as connected. If I restart Garmin Express it still shows the Edge as connected even though it is not (doesn't show up in the explorer, neither in the taskbar or device manager because it is unplugged). Garmin Express will still try and sync it and even suggest an update.
I rebooted my PC and the issue is still present.

Something with the sync has to be broken because I can't send tracks to my Garmin.
I tried different USB ports already.
I removed and added the device to Garmin Express.

Any idea how to deal with this?

    Thanks!

Typically, if the user.config was an issue, Garmin Express would fail to launch manually as well. I recommend uninstalling and reinstalling Garmin Express. The current version is 4.1.6. If the uninstall gives errors, use the Fixit method as instructed in post #6 above.

If you continue to experience problems, contact Product Support by phone for further assistance.

Uninstalled with no errors, reinstalled with no errors, still the same as I originally reported.

Exactly the same problem here. No errors. Uninstalled (and removed Garmin data folder) and reinstalled Garmin Express. Again no errors. However on Windows 10 startup, Garmin Express does not startup and I have to start it manually. In Task Manager, Startup, there is an entry called 'Garmin Express Tray' with a status 'Enabled'. I use a dual boot with Windows 7 and there I have no issues.

I have already done all that Garmin has been able to suggest without great success. Checked for updates, uninstalled and reinstalled, checked cables, tried different USB ports etc. Cleaned all the connections etc.

I can get the Forerunner to connect in Windows 10, however I have to plug and unplug into the USB port several times before it connects. So it is usable, on Windows 10, but it is extremely irritating having to struggle to get a connection this way. Have run Compatibility mode tests in Windows, and currently using compatibility setting for Windows 7.

This is not a cable problem or a USB port problem and I have tried both front and rear USB ports. If I change to Windows 7 on the same PC (Dual Boot setup) the Forerunner connects first time.

I was having the same problem with my 920xt, I solved it, I had copied my whole Garmin folder to a flash drive for back up and when the flash drive was plugged in and I ran GE it would go to the Garmin folder on the flash drive not the watch. Hope this helps

This is an issue.  I am having the same problem.

I cannot get Garmin express to launch at all.  I did try uninstall and reinstall it, still does not work.

I sent them a note and no reply to this issue.  It is a problem since uploading the new version.  Not a coincidence..
