FR305 not working anymore after Windows 10 upgrade

I was running Windows 7 plus Garmin Express with FR 305 flawless. But Microsoft forced Windows 10 upgrade.

When Garmin will release FR 305 USB drivers for Windows 10?
  • Best bet is to contact Garmin. The other option is to search the interweb for legacy USB drivers.

    Indeed... Garmin Express doesn't see the Forerunner 305 since I installed Windows 10...

    I'm running Windows 10 and my Forerunner 305 is working with both Garmin Express and Training Center. I will note that I've had to plug/unplug several times using different USB ports to get it to register some times, though others it works first try.

    My 305 was recognised in Garmin Express after windows 10 update but it now refuses to synchronise data correctly, it gets so far and then error message!:confused:
  • This is typically a hardware issue, cable, port, device, etc. But for some reason, Windows may not be assigning the newest USB device driver. Garmin did release a updated version on 4/15/2015, version 2.3.1.1. Try the troubleshooting in our FAQ:

    If you are still experiencing difficulties after trying the drivers, port, cable, and another computer, it may be that the device is malfunctioning. I have connected a Forerunner 305 successfully to multiple Win 10 computers here with no issues.

    Contact Product Support by phone if you continue to have connectivity issues.

    Hi,

    I have followed your instructions and installed the USB drivers but I still can't get my 305 to download activities to Connect, its recognised in Express and Connect but fails to complete the synchronisation.

    I checked the USB version in Hardware settings and it still shows ver 2.3.1.0 I have tried to remove the device and reinstall but it still shows ver 2.3.1.0

    Any further advice please?

    Issues with my 910XT

    Im having the same issues with my 910xt. My computer see the ANT+ stick but express does not see the stick. I contacted Garmin and ANT developers and neither had answers.

    I recommend deleting the devices from Garmin Express and Connect:

    Then reboot the computer and see if Garmin Express detects the ANT Stick. If not, uninstall and reinstall Garmin Express.

    If the ANT Stick is still not detected after that, contact Product Support by phone for further assistance.
