Latest Map issue dates nuvi1340

Hi,
I want to update my European maps on my Nuvi 1340, however I am unable to find a roadmap of issue dates to show how up to date the maps offered are. It seems pointless updating, if a new version is imminent, or the update is only 1 year newer than than presently installed.

Latest update is 2016.10, which came out in May 2015.

2016.20 is likely to be September/October but there is no firm date and forecasting at the moment is difficult as Garmin have apparently moved from 4 to 3 updates a year.

Will deffinately update as mine is currently 2012.3
Strange that the latest is 2016.10 not 2015.10

Just the way it's done. The last 2016 series map will be in spring of 2016. Bit like the UK tax year!
