Delay of synchronizations for 1-2 days with Vivofit

I've got 2 devices in Express -Fenix 2. Vivofit

I've synchronized Vivofit without problem, process was completed, but fresh data were not available in the Web.

Is it possible to monitor log of synchronization ?
I tried to force manual refresh in browser - Ctrl+R, F5 - it doesn't work - information still the same.

Could you advice ?
  • Did you just get the fenix 2? Are they both setup in the same account? Is your vivofit your primary tracker? If it's th fenix, you would have a problem syncing the vivofit.

According to your account there are no devices associated with this Connect account. You can have only one device set as the Activity Tracker per account. If you add a second device that supports Steps(Activity Tracking) then you have to specifically select the option to use the original or first device paired with Express/Connect. Pair the vivofit with Express and enter the credentials for the account. Make sure a successful sync is complete then add the fenix. Choose to keep the vivofit as the activity tracker. The fenix would only sync timed activities like Running, Hiking, Biking etc after that. If you continue to have trouble please contact Garmin Product Support by phone.

    Thanks for detailed explanation.
Main problem for me is I'm going to buy Fenix 3
    so I will have:
    1) Fenix 2
    2) Fenix 3
    3) Vivofit

is it possible to synchronize all devices?
Does it mean, that activity tracker should be only one ?

Should I create separate account for each device ?

Connect told me that I don't have devices
But Express told me - I have 2 devices
    Fenix 2
    Vivofit

    Is it ok ?

I was wrong when explaining about the fenix2 being an activity tracker. One of its greatest capabilities is to record fitness data but it does not count your daily steps which would be the main criteria for an activity tracker device. Having these two on one account should not be a problem. Since they are already added to Express you just need to re-authenticate the Connect account through Garmin Express.

    1. Open Express
    2. Select the vivofit
    3. Click Tools
    4. Click the Garmin Connect Tab
    5. Click Sign in or Change Account
    6. Enter your credentials.

    Repeat with the fenix2

Since the vivofit is mainly a Activity Tracker it should be setup as the activity tracker by default in Connect.
Do the same with the fenix2. If you continue to have sync issues with the fenix2 it is possible there are corrupt files on the device. Open the Garmin/GPX folder and delete any .gpx files that are 0KB in size. You can also open the Garmin/Activity folder and manually upload files that did not sync. Use the instructions below to manually upload them if needed. This is a good way to locate a corrupt file that Connect would reject and Connect will inform you if the activity already exists. Rejected files cause Sync errors in Express and should be deleted.

    • Connect the device to a computer using a USB cable
    • Sign into Garmin Connect
    • Click the + icon in the top right corner of the page
    • Click Upload Your Activities
    • Click the Manual Upload tab
    • Follow the on-screen instructions

Again I apologize for the troubles. Let us know if you have any other questions.
