does the new garmin express actually work?

yesterday I tried to sync my activities. Based on the new appearance a new version of express was installed on my computer. so far so good.
however none of my rides uploaded properly (meaning, not at all) and the automatic sync to strava also did not work.

is the new express actually working? or is this another case of Garmin relying on their customers for porper testing?

Do you mean Express? Or perhaps Connect?

While Express has been updated it's essentially the same interface, whereas Connect Modern is completely different from Connect Classic.

Either way both work fine, and always have, for me.

On Wednesday both express and connect worked for me. After the updates to connect and express neither work.... Connect tells me that the sync failed and express just hangs after the status bar reaches ~50%. Vety frustrating. Manually uploaded the file to strava just to insure i didnt lose the ride but cannot to connect.

No, really express

i really mean express. That piece of software that installs on your PC. And should take care of synchronisation to connect. But does not.

Express not working

I have the same issues since uploading to the latest Express software(v4.1.5.0) this week. Everything working fine before the upload, now can't upload anything using the Edge 305, have tried on two different PCs, same results. Error syncing?

If you've recently updated Express then delete the device from Express and re-add it. That tends to resolve issues after updating.

I installed Garmin Express today on a new Windows 10 PC. As soon as I ran it I found that the audio drivers were bypassed and I had no control over the audio at all. In addition none of my video streaming accounts worked as Silverlight was deactivated. The only solution was to remove Garmin Express and reboot. I tried installing Garmin Express again with the same results, predictable really, insanity is defined by Einstein as doing the same thing over and over again expecting different results

Reinstalled but no luck

Removed and reinstalled (and rebooted) Express with no success. Snyc still stalls at ~40%. Can i roll back to software that works??

Workshop, more or less

Most of my rides uploaded today. One did not. But there are errors In that file anyway. Thanks to my trusted 810. Fit file corrupt. Last 40km missing from the ride.

Deleting and re-adding doesn't does not help.

Roll back success

Rolled back to a previous version and all is well again (express). Will try to do the same for connect...
