Garmin Express - Cannot find device serial number

Hi,

This is my first post so I'm sorry if this question has been asked before but I couldn't find an answer!

I have just purchased a Forerunner 610 and trying to set it up in Garmin Express.

I open Garmin Express and click on "Add Device"

With the ANT plugged in to a USB2 port and FR610 very close to the ANT I get a rotating Blue circle that says "Waiting for you to plug in....

After about 30 seconds it flips to a second page that has at the top "Device Found" with a picture of a watch/navigation device with a ? between them. Along side is a message "We're unable to add this device because our servers are unavailable at this time"

There is another line underneath with "Not the device you are looking for? Search Again.

If I search again the above repeats.

Any ideas please?
