Unexpected Error (still)

Hi,

the error reported here is still valid and unfortunately I am facing it since 2 months.
Uninstalling and reinstalling does not help at all.
Running on W8.1 Pro.

Syncing my results from Edge 800 to Garmin Connect works.
But I cannot update my Gamin Nuevi 2495LM anymore!

Any suggestion is welcome as this is REALLY annoying, moreover that this problem is known since quite a while and there is not even a workaround available.

I am sorry for the troubles. If you continue to experience this issue please contact Garmin Product Support by phone so the issue can be investigated. The resolution for this issue is usually computer specific.

problem solved.

1. http://support2.microsoft.com/mats/program_install_and_uninstall/
2. Run it, choose "automatic", "remove"
3. Select "Garmin Express", next, "Yes, remove"
4. "Next", "Problem solved" , "Next"

Run FixIt again and select
- Garmin Express Tray
- Elevated Installer
- Garmin Update Services (if available)

5. Restart computer
6. Open "Programs and Features", select "Garmin Express" (if available) and "Remove"

7. Restart computer again
8. Run a fresh installation

Done. Working finally. :-)
