Garmin express with Kenwood DNX572BH reinstall map fails

I have a new Kenwood DXN572BH. The Garmin portion reports that there is no MAP data when attempting to do a address search so I attempted to do Reinstall Map with Garmin express.

Garmin express appears to download the maps, however when it attempts to do "building maps" if times out and in a red box "there was an error installing the update"

Any help appreciated.

Are you running the latest version of Express? If not then update and try again.

If that doesn't work then do a complete uninstall of Express https://support.garmin.com/support/searchSupport/case.faces?caseId={df6c6c40-425e-11e2-e8a7-000000000000} and then reinstall it.

Yes i am running 4.1.5.0 downloaded today, i have tried this in 2 computers both windows 7 64 bit. i have uninstalled again and trying again as well.

is 16 GB for the removable disk the correct size for this application? I could find nothing that told me the size needed.

16Gb should work fine, maximum for Garmin units is 32Gb.

How far does Express get before it times out?

Uninstalled and reinstalled again, it gets to building maps, flashed to activating maps. does not seem to write to the removable media.

I am sorry for the troubles. An issue was identified with reinstalling your City Navigator North America 2015.20 maps to the Kenwood. I have created a ticket on it and sent it up the chain to be looked at. You will receive and email as soon as a resolution has been found with instructions for reinstalling the maps.
