I tried to upload an activity last week and when Garmin Express saw my device (910XT) it told me I needed to update it, so I followed the instructions and did so (I think to firmware 3.20). Now it won't upload any activities. So I tried installing Express on a different PC and plugged in the ANT stick, it gets so far in the installation of my 910XT, I sign into Connect, it goes to "please wait while we finish setting up your device", the progress bar gets maybe 1/4 of the way across and that's as far as it goes, it just stops doing anything and stays there. All the while the 910XT shows "transferring data".
I've uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times always with the same result.

Any ideas?

I am sorry for the troubles. Please see the FAQ: How do I remove FIT files that fail to sync in Garmin Express from my computer? to locate and remove any .FIT files that may remain on the computer after a successful sync. I also recommend that you delete any activities that are already uploaded to Connect from the History menu on the device. Activities that remain on the device can interfere with the creation of new data over time.

If your having trouble adding the device back to Express after removing it, check the Devices menu in your Connect account and make sure it is also removed from there. Use the gray gear icon to remove the device before adding it back to Express.

Last Resort is to Master Reset the device. How do I master reset my Forerunner 910XT?

If you continue to have troubles, please contact Garmin Product Support by phone.

    Master reset

Well, master reset fixed it. I lost two activities that I would rather have kept but at least it now works again, thanks. I'm pretty sure this problem was caused by the firmware update to 3.20 though, maybe it corrupted a file or something.
