Monterra G Express sync/upload to G Connect

I am not able to make this work. Is it supposed to? Some threads from a year ago suggest that the answer is "no." I've also read in more recent threads that doing it MANUALLY directly to Connect with a browser is the only way I can do it. If that is correct, I've take a step backwards by buying the Monterra ($700) because with my old 60 CSx I can do All recent activities! Thinking seriously about taking the Monterra back to REI.

Not a happy hiker at the moment.

In order to get track (.gpx) files from the Monterra into Garmin Connect you will need to manually upload them. Garmin Connects main focus currently is on designated fitness devices. Outdoor devices can manually upload .gpx files into Connect but Garmin BaseCamp remains the designated application at this time.
