nuviCam killed by Express update

Got a nuviCam yesterday, tried to update via Express today as recommended and in accordance with User Guide instructions - result was a £270 piece of useless plastic! Can't switch on and can't connect to PC to fix anything :(
If anyone has any idea about fixing this I would be most grateful - I have returned dead device for replacement but need to know solution before attempting update of the replacement!

I am sorry for the troubles. Please make sure Garmin Express is up to date. The latest version of PC is 4.1.3.0.

How do I update Garmin Express?

There are no known issues with the nuviCam and Garmin Express. What you describe is basically a device where the battery is completely depleted, though the device should still power on in the car using the vehicle power cable. If it is connected to the computer with a depleted battery it could take several hours just to receive enough charge to power on.

    Thanks, but ....!

    a) The Garmin Express version was a brand new download!
    b) When Express update the device was fully charged, the Express update was undertaken using a USB connection and the device was, therefore, charging throughout the update (or so I presume as USB is one of the published charging methods.
    c) 2 hrs of further USB recharging and 2 hrs of in-car recharging (yes the engine was running, I was on a long trip) failed to re-ignite the beast
Hence my claim to say it was DEAD!
Sorry to hear that there are no known problems with Express, as this would suggest the particular device I had was faulty - We will see when I attempt to update the replacement.
