205 detection hanging on "Reading device information"

Attempting to add my 205 to Garmin Express (so I can transfer a route to it...) but Express is just sat on the "plug in your device" screen saying "Reading Device Information". It's been like this for that last two sets of the tennis!

Any ideas on how to get past this? Have other people managed to get a 205 working with Garmin Express?

If I can't, are there otherways to transfer the route to the device? I need it for tomorrow morning :(
  • Edge? Forerunner? Does help if you're a bit more specific.

Sorry, Forerunner 205. (I didn't realise there was an Edge 205!)

and while I'm at it, Windows 7 (64bit), running the current version of Express.

Just realised I could go back to the classic connect to transfer it.... but.. I'm getting this error when trying to transfer it: "Unable to send course to device. Please try again later. ".

It seemed to send to my Forerunner 610... but that's can't do the navigation I need :/

    Now working...

I cancelled it after 2 hours.... then tried to add it. It couldn't find it at all. Attempted to send it via classed interface with communicator plugin, that didn't work, and then all of a sudden Garmin Express found it and installed it...

    err. Oh well!
