Garmin Express stops loading map at 19% on garmin Edge 1000

Ever since I bought my new Garmin Edge 1000 two weeks ago, I've been trying to update the 2013 maps to the latest 2015 maps via Garmin Express.
Garmin Express keeps jamming at around 19% completed for no reason. No error message is produced what so ever. Only the speed which is normally 1.2 Mb/s drops to 0 and the progress stops there.
Once it stops I eventually need to close it or kill it (Once I keep it open for 24h before doing so).
Then next time I try downloading the maps, it never starts and the progress stay jammed at 0%.

I found the temporary place where Garmin express download the map to my PC
C:\ProgramData\Garmin\CoreService\Downloads\Map\Map_Map.CYCLEMAPNA.2015.10

I deleted this folder and tried again. This time the download started properly by halted again somehow near 19%.
I tried numerous downloads afterwards after deleting this folder and everytime it stops before reaching the end (most of the time at 19% but I reached 50% once).
So Garmin Express can`t complete a map update and is not able to recover from an aborted map update.

Today I updated Garmin Express to the latest version but that didn`t fixe the problem.

I got a fast/stable Windows 7 PC with an Intel i7, 16GB of RAM, plenty of HD space, good USB3 ports, and a good/fast/stable high-speed internet connection.

Can someone at Garmin help me on that one?

    I am sorry for the troubles. There is currently an issue with Garmin Express continually offering the 2015 CycleMap after the update is complete but there are no wide spread issues with downloading the map update files. I was able to imitate your Edge 1000 and run a map update through Garmin Express on a public WiFi network and there were no issues downloading. Other than contacting Garmin Product support by phone I suggest you look at the FAQ below:
