Nuvi 2595 LTM will not update maps.

I have the latest version of Garmin Express 4.1.3.0. but it will not update my maps. I am connected to my router via an Ethernet cable, my antivirus and firewall are turned off and there is 194 GB free disc space and nothing else running on my computer, but the maps start downloading at 1.2 MB/s and then the speed gradually gets slower and slower and then the FAILED bar comes on. (All other downloads, films etc are OK) I have been trying for three weeks, and this happens every time. I was hoping someone else might have had this problem and found a cure.
It was suggested to me to try MapUpdater which I have just tried and all went well until I got a pop up that said:-
"This Garmin GPS is not eligible for this update because a previous map version is not installed"
I do not understand this because I have updated each time a new map comes out.
I would be grateful for any assistance.

Garmin Express not updating NUVI 2689

I have the latest version of Garmin Express (4.1.3.0) and bought a Garmin Nuvi 2689LMT.

I tried to update the maps and traffic for the first time, and I click update and it says "There was an error installing the update".

I have researched the issue and have gone into my internet options and ticked the Automatically detect settings, but it still comes up with the error.

Firewall is turned off and virus protection are turned off.

I am stuck and don't know what else to do.

    Can anybody help me?

    Thanks In Advance!!
