My Garmin fénix 3 HR has been working fine for years and connected to Garmin Connect and Garmin Express normally.
Recently it won't connect to either Express or Connect.
Error message I get in Express is "This device not compatible" when connecting with the cable. Similar message in connect when trying to connect with Bluetooth. I tried Express both in Windows and Mac computers.
I called Garmin Support and they instructed me to manually delete the device.fit and garmindevice.xml files from the watch and reboot it. It doesn't solve the problem. I also tried a complete factory reset and nothing.
I called again and funny enough my device ID (taken from the watch about menu 3932810184) is different from the device ID recorded in Garmin central database (3932801992).
I tend to think that's the problem and have asked Garmin to correct it (in the central database I guess). They claim they cannot do that and only propose I exchange the watch for a new one.
Can anybody help?
This is very frustrating. I don't think this is a watch physical issue but rather a Garmin central database issue and I hesitate to exchange a watch that works perfectly other than the Connect and Express connectivity issues.
Thanks in advance,
/Enrique
