New Vivofit cant finish process of completeing profile in Garmin Express

I just purchased vivofit. Trying to get it going. I installed Garmin Express, It saw device connected properly. Then it asked me to create a user. I did fill all info then I get to the PROFILE screen and it ask my weight, height, birthdate etc. I fill in all fields but there is no OK button to move on to next step. It just sits there there is no button. Please see attachment

    Windows 7 starter

    same problem here with Windows 7 starter, i already synced on another computer with windows 7 version, but on a computer with windows 7 starter version I want to add Vivofit with an existing user, but on the profile screen there is no Ok button to go to the next step.

    I have Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit. I suspect a java issue and poorly written garmin express but still cant figure it out
  • I didn't have that problem when I setup a new account last week. Maybe java is your issue - I couldn't tell you except that you could got o Control Panel and update your java from there.

    Instead, what I suggest you guys do, as a workaround, is setup your account in a web browser. Then log into the already setup account in Express.

    I'm having the same problem. I did uninstall/reinstall just to see if that could be the problem but no change. Being new to Garmin, it seems to me that my vivofit is useless without a completed account.

    Is that correct?

    I didn't have that problem when I setup a new account last week. Maybe java is your issue - I couldn't tell you except that you could got o Control Panel and update your java from there.

    Instead, what I suggest you guys do, as a workaround, is setup your account in a web browser. Then log into the already setup account in Express.


    Updated Java to 8-45 (from 8-31) and still can't get past "Profile". Will set up account on Garmin web site to see if that works.

    Well I spent far more time then I intended on the Garmin web site and couldn't find where you can set up an account there. It keeps directing me to download Express, which, of course i've already done.

    If someone has the link for account/profile setup I'll gladly go there.

    It still seems to me that my Vivofit is useless unless Garmin will allow me to complete the setup!

    Is that correct?

    Yes the vivofit is useless until you get past this point. Well done Garmin!!!

    This is obviously happening to many people but Garmin has not done anything

    I went to the above mentioned thread and came here as instructed by the moderator.

    I find it VERY, VERY noteworthy that the moderator has failed to comment on this thread!
