I am sorry for the troubles. There is a known issue with the Edge 305, 605, 705 and Forerunner 201, 205, 305 devices receiving Courses from Garmin Connect. The Garmin Connect team is aware of the issue and working on a resolution. Again, I am sorry for the troubles.

    Hi gabarsby,

Do you have an expected date for the fix?

    Thanks,

    Ray

  • I am sorry to say that I do not. I do know that we are still working on the issue. I apologize for the inconvenience.

    Mediocre Support

This fault was first reported on this thread at the end of April.

Eventually... it was admitted (11 June) that yet again the Garmin development team had screwed up our devices with an inadequately tested release.

I am sorry for the troubles. Currently there is an issue with Connect Sending Courses to the Edge 305/605/705 devices. The Connect Team has been notified and are investigating the issue

Still no fix and for many owners one of the key functions is unuseable.

For me this mediocre support and slow response shows a lack of respect for customers who have paid a substantial amount of good money for a device.

Bear this in mind when you are next spending your hard earned cash.

    Hi gabarsby

I hear your pain! The post below from TEXMURPHY in another thread worked for me. An annoying workaround but better than nothing...

    Go to http://www8.garmin.com/support/colle...t=010-00447-00
Download Training Center Ver. 3.6.5, as of Aug 25, 2011 and USB Drivers Ver. 2.3.1, as of May 11, 2012
Download these directly and install, do not use Express. The usb drivers will try to have gstart active, but best not to use gstart.
Then you should be able to use Training Center to get activities from your Edge 305.
If you need to load them to Connect or Strava, then export the activity from Training Center as a tcx file for manual (file) upload.

  • This issue should be resolved after a recent update to Garmin Connect. Courses and workouts should be able to be sent from Garmin Connect to the following devices now:

    • Edge 305, 605, 705
    • Forerunner 201, 205, 305

If you continue to experience problems, contact Product Support by phone as we will need to gather more detailed information.

  • Hi, unfortunately, I'm having this problem; any courses created in GC are not being pushed to my trusty old Edge 305. It was working fine approx 10 months ago. I'm running Mac OS 11.2.2 with Garmin Express v 7.3.1.0. Any rides are recorded and are being pushed up to GC via GE without issue... Please can you let me know if I have something set up wrong.

  • I'm running Mac OS

You might want to post on the Garmin Express Mac forum as well as contact Product Support

  • I should add. I’ve also tested on a Win10 PC with latest version of GE. Same symptoms unfortunately.

  • I have a Forerunner 205, 305, 310XT, and 920XT and all are working fine with the latest update. However, that wasn't always the case as reported here: Garmin Express 7.2 breaks Forerunner 305 It was fixed shortly after I contacted Garmin Support.
